Itinerary: |

DAY 1, 2 & 3: USA - SINGAPORE
We cross the international dateline en route to
Singapore. Upon arrival we will be transferred to
our hotel for a good night’s rest. Singapore, the
“Lion City” is a modern city on a lush, tropical
island. This single island, only 255 square miles in
size, is nevertheless, rich in history and culture.
Colonized in 1819 by Sir Stamford Raffles, it has
become one of the world’s largest ports. Its
geography and thriving economy have attracted
immigrants from every continent. Today its
population of 2.7 million is the “melting pot” of
the Orient - hosting a mixture of Chinese,
Malaysians, Indians, Pakistanis, Singhalese, British
and Americans. English is the preferred language
linking each of these ethnic groups. Dinner tonight
will be at our hotel. (Inflight meals,D)
DAY 4: SINGAPORE
This morning enjoy a city sightseeing tour of
Singapore including visits to Raffles Place, the
waterfront, Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple, the colorful
Chinatown street markets, Mt. Faber’s panoramic
view, and the Botanical Gardens with their rare
orchids. The rest of the afternoon is yours to
enjoy. (B)
DAY 5: SINGAPORE
Today a tour of the Jurong Bird Park awaits us - one
of the largest aviaries in the world. The rest of
the day is at leisure. You may want to squeeze in a
visit to the Raffles Hotel made famous by Rudyard
Kipling, Joseph Conrad and W. Somerset Maugham for
one of their famous Singapore Slings! This evening,
there will be a dinner show with a display of
cultural dancers from several Asian countries. (B,D)
DAY 6: SINGAPORE - BANGKOK
Upon arrival in Bangkok, after settling in at our
hotel we will experience a host of romantic and
exotic images. We will venture back in time to the
ancient kingdom of Siam, now Thailand served as the
setting for the musical “The King and I”. We will
find magnificent palaces, temples and ancient
artifacts that have been well preserved. A welcome
reception will await us at the hotel. (B, Inflight)
DAY 7: BANGKOK
This morning we will tour Bangkok and three of its
most ornate and exotic temples: Wat Trimitr - with
its invaluable Golden Buddha (5 1/2 tons of gold!);
Wat Po - a temple built to adorn its colossal
Reclining Buddha, and Wat Benchamabophit - a
classical marble temple. This afternoon is at your
leisure to explore the city on your own or simply
relax. Spend your evening enjoying a genuine Thai
style dinner in a delightful Thai atmosphere
accompanied by Thai classical music and dances. The
dancers with their beautiful glittering costumes and
graceful rhythm will stay in your memory forever. (B,D)
DAY 8: BANGKOK
This morning will begin with a tour of one of the
most spectacular places in the world, the Grand
Palace, formerly the seat of the court of Old Siam.
Built by King Rama I, it houses one of the world’s
most venerated Buddha images, the Emerald Buddha.
This afternoon we will enjoy a rice barge/sunset
cruise that will take us through winding waterways
to see the villages. Enjoy unlimited drinks, snacks
and fruit along our passage. Dinner is included
tonight. (B,D)
DAY 9: BANGKOK
Today will take us to the Floating Market of Damnoen
Saduak, which provides a glimpse of local trading

will be entertained and educated while learning Thai
customs at the Thai Village Show. (B,L)
