Itinerary: |
DAY 1 & 2: OVERNIGHT FLIGHT MADRID
Today we begin our tour, flying to Madrid,
Spain. Upon landing, we will be met by our tour
manager. Madrid is the city of many faces,
from its grand boulevards and plazas, to
centuries-old palaces and medieval quarters. It
is considered one of the great cultural capitals
of the world. (in-flight meals)
DAY 3: MADRID
This morning, we will enjoy a magnificent city
tour visiting the Plaza Espana, the Royal
Palace, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Paseo
Castellano, and the world-famous Prado Museum,
which holds collections of worldwide famous
painters such as El Greco, Velasquez, Goya,
Raphael, and Rubens. Prepare to be fascinated by
the priceless treasures and diversity that this
grand capital offers. The remainder of the day
is at your leisure. (B)
DAY 4: MADRID FREE DAY
This morning, enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
Today is a free day at your leisure to enjoy the
town or for an optional tour, you may want to
take an excursion to Toledo. Perfectly situated
on a granite hill surrounded by a loop of the
Tagus River, the city tour includes the
Synagogue, Santo Tome Church, the Cathedral and
the 16th century house of El Greco. Upon our
return to Madrid, the evening will be free. (B)
DAY 5: MADRID CORDOBA SEVILLE
After breakfast at your hotel, we drive through
the land of Don Quixote and enjoy the lush
vineyards. Our destination is Cordoba where
well enjoy walking through the picturesque
little alleys of the Jewish Quarter (Juderia) to
see the charming patios (courtyards) of Cordoba.
The patios are all individual, white-washed,
immaculately clean, and filled with plants and
flowers. Another highlight of our sight-seeing
will be a visit to the Mezquita (or Mosque).
Started in 785 AD it is a magnificent building
with a labyrinth of columns of onyx, jasper,
marble, and granite that glow in the soft light
of bronze and copper lamps. Continuing on to
Seville, we will enjoy a dinner at the hotel. (B,D)
DAY 6: SEVILLE
This morning, we will enjoy a city tour of
Seville which will include visits to the Gold
Tower, Giralda Bell Tower and the ornate
Cathedral housing Christopher Columbus Tomb.
Well also visit Alcazar Palace, an 800-year-old
palace-fortress of the Arab kings and explore
the old Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz, beautiful
Maria Luisa Park, and Plaza Espana. Tonight,
enjoy your included dinner. (B,D)
DAY 7: SEVILLE TORREMOLINOS
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for
Malaga. Enjoy the typical Andalusian villages of
Antequera and La Roda before arriving in
Torremolinos, a lovely resort town on the Costa
del Sol. (B)
DAY 8: TORREMOLINOS FREE DAY
Breakfast at your hotel. Today we have a free
day to relax, enjoy the resort area or to take
an excursion to Morocco or Tangier. (B)
DAY 9: TORREMOLINOS FREE DAY
Breakfast at your hotel. Today we have free time
to enjoy a stroll on the beach, relax, enjoy the
resort area or to take an optional excursion to
Mijas or Granada. (B)
DAY 10: RETURN HOME
After breakfast at your hotel, meet your tour
manager for your morning transfer to the airport
for your international flight home. (B,
