Once aboard our flight, we can relax, read, or
watch the in-flight movie and enjoy
complimentary meals and beverage service. Upon
arriving we will be transferred to our hotel.
The Danube divides the city of Budapest into two
sections – Buda and Pest. For decades, the
sections were distinct entities, joining to form
Budapest in 1872. Among the most beautiful
cities in Europe, Budapest graces the banks of
the Danube for nearly 8 miles. This evening we
will board our ship and begin our cruising
adventure. (In-flight,D)
DAY 3: ESZTERGOM – BRATISLAVA
Today you may choose to experience an optional
tour to the picturesque landscape of the Danube
Bend, where the river changes its course
southward, in Esztergom, the former residence of
the Hungarian kings, you can visit the
Cathedral, the largest church in Hungary, with
its immense cupola, the tomb and the treasury.
You will then have the opportunity to stroll
around the marvelous old town. (B,L,D)

Choir. While you are there, you might decide to

ship for our overnight cruising. (B,L,D)
DAY 5: MELK
One of the most splendid examples of Baroque
architecture in Europe, is the city of Melk,
best known for the Benedictine Melk Abbey that
dominates the city high above the Danube River.

and the sweeping views of the river valley. Your

architectural masterpiece north of the Alps and

Collegiate Church. (B,L,D)

This picturesque city is ideally located at the
confluence of the Inn, Ilz and Danube Rivers
just a short distance from Germany’s border with
Austria. Visit the wonderful Old Town and

largest pipe organs. The cathedral is the
largest Baroque churches north of the Alps. (B,L,D)

The second largest city in Bavaria, Nuremberg,
is a glowing testament to medieval culture.

Castle), once home to German kings and emperors.
The castle and the system of walls and towers
surrounding the town transport you back in time.
Visit the 16th century Albrecht Durer House.
This interesting museum highlights the life and
work of former Nuremburg artist, Albrecht Durer.
